Proteins are the building blocks of all our body tissues, and of great importance to our vocal health. Since muscle fibers are made of proteins, protein deficiency harms first of all the muscles (in the form of fatigue, lower productivity etc.), as well as the immune system. A vocal effort may require up to twice the daily amount of daily protein consumption. Likewise, the recovery of damaged vocal cords, too, requires consumption of a sufficient daily protein amount.
